Unwanted hair can be a great problem for many people and a simple nuisance for most others. Until now, options to remove hair were limited to smelly creams, sharper razors, tweezers, stinging wax, painful electrolysis, or treatment with lasers that were not developed for hair removal.
Dr. Nowak practices effective laser treatments for a variety of skin problems such as birthmarks, spider veins, and tattoos. Dr. Nowak then when on to acquire the new Epilaser™ hair removal system.
Laser treatments leave your skin looking and feeling smoother and silkier. Best of all laser hair removal treatments are fast, gentle, and very effective when compared to other methods.
At last, there's great news for women who suffer the prevalent problem of excess facial hair. The Epilaser is faster and more efficient that traditional methods and is more considerate of the sensitive feminine skin.

Finally, there is an almost painless and quick method for men who want to rid themselves of that unwanted hair on their back, chest, neck, etc. Depending on your needs, all body areas can be treated using this easy technology.
How It Works
The laser uses a low energy laser to gently remove unwanted hair. Because the laser fires over an area about the size of a dime, it is possible to treat larger areas such as the back, face, arms, and legs. Laser treatments are effective on almost any area of the body.
Laser Hair Removal is a gentle process involving several steps. First, it is usually required that a few day’s hair growth is visible to determine the areas for treatment. The areas are than cleansed and shaved. Then the areas are scanned with the laser. The laser energy passes through the skin and is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles. This disables the hair follicle. The treatment session with the laser can last from a few minutes to ½ hour, depending on the size of the area treated.
Immediately after treatment, the treated area is left with what could best be described as a very mild sunburn. If there is some mild blistering, this is usually healed within several days. The treated area must not be exposed to the sun for several weeks following treatment. If it is an area that is difficult to keep out of the sun (such as the face), it must be protected with sunscreen and total sun block.
The number of treatments you may require for optimal long term benefits depends on your skin pigmentation, the area you wish to have treated, and your hair’s growth cycle. Although it might not be possible to have "permanent" removal of your hair, most individuals can obtain 3-6 months of delayed growth with 3 or 4 treatments to the area. Each area, such as the upper lip or chin, requires 3-4 treatments to the whole area before long term delay of growth can be obtained. Even though the hair removal might not be "permanent," the hair that grows back is usually lighter in color and thinner than what it was prior to the laser treatments.
Your hair grows in cycles. The hair follicle has to be treated at the right phase of the growth cycle, so that several treatments might be necessary to achieve the desired, long term result. As described above most areas require at least three or four treatment sessions.
Almost all patients state that laser hair removal with the new Epilaser is less painful, much more effective, faster, more convenient, and overall, less costly than long term electrolysis and waxing.
1 yorum:
The tricky part of laser hair removal is targeting the hair shaft without damaging the melanin pigment in the surface of the skin. Thus the laser light has to be on long enough to heat the hair, but not too long to allow that heat to spread to the surrounding skin causing damage. In addition, the darker a patient’s skin, the more difficult it is to avoid injuring the surface of the skin while treating the hair. For this reason, there are three main types of hair removal lasers that are used today, and depending on the thickness of the hair and the color of the skin, one laser may provide benefits as compared to another.
